Bethany Terry’s got it all: All-American girl looks, the attitude to match, and enough enthusiasm to keep her riding high throughout New York Fashion Week. We caught up with the brunette beauty to talk long-legged jeans shopping, the Neon Trees and riding in an elevator with Marc Jacobs.
ELLE: What did you have for breakfast this morning?
BT: Toast. It was cinnamon swirl bread.
ELLE: What do you think about when you’re on the runway?
BT: I try to think about not falling down. And not laughing. It’s really hard not to laugh. It’s ridiculous, but so great in a weird way.
ELLE: How do you stay energized?
BT: I drink a lot of lattes from Starbucks.
ELLE: And your go-to snack between shows?
BT: Fruit cups. And granola bars.
ELLE: Have you had any “wow” moments in New York so far?
BT: I was at a casting yesterday and Buddy from Cake Boss was there. And I was just in an elevator with Marc Jacobs.
ELLE: What music are you into right now?
BT: I like indie rock. Neon Trees. Paramore
ELLE: What do you love most about being in New York?
BT: All the boutiques and being able to walk everywhere. I also love the subway. It’s so retro-grungy.
ELLE: What makeup do you like to wear?
BT: I like really thick eyeliner. I love dark heavy eye makeup and combat boots.
ELLE: What are your off-duty clothes?
BT: Thrift store T-shirts. My jeans are from Wet Seal. I like to buy jeans from Alloy.com because they have good ones for long legs.
ELLE: Are you going to any parties?
BT: No, not so much. I’m not 18 yet. I probably couldn’t get in anywhere.
